Schedule

We train weekly at Herts & Essex Sports Centre

We provide age and ability appropriate training for all of our sessions.

Qualified coaches with safe-guarding and first aid training

Training is on Tuesdays 5-6pm (£15/month)

First session is free!

Mini Handball is the starting point for primary-aged children and is played 5 aside, mixed boys & girls, no tackling, and on a smaller court.

During our training sessions we don’t focus too much on sport-specific training, but try to teach our players to be physically literate and able to take their learned skills with them to their playtime at school/PE lesson or to other sports. The fundamental movement skills are key to our sessions. Expect there to be some skipping, hopping, diving onto crash mats, dribbling, forward rolls, and more. We try to make all of our sessions fun. We also work on age-appropriate handball skills and finish each session with mini-matches.

Run by Annica (lvl 2 coach) Karsten (lvl 1 coach) Olivia (lvl 1 coach)

Training is on Tuesdays between 6-7pm, however you may arrive from 5pm as coaches are running skill sessions, while our mini handball 5-6pm don’t require the whole hall (£25/month)

First session is Free!

Suitable for all abilities.

This is for age 11+ and we are focusing more on sport specific training sessions but we still put a lot of importance on learning skills that you will have for life and be able to apply to so many other sports. Big focus during our sessions is Fun and team building as well as handball skills. We encourage players to be independent athletes.

Run by Annica (lvl 2 coach) Karsten (lvl 1 coach) and David (lvl 1 coach)

Senior training (men and women) on Tuesdays 7-9pm (£35/month)

First session is free!

We have a men’s team competing in the England Handball Regional League – South East 2. We currently do not have a women’s team but are keen to get one started again.

We welcome new and old players with little or no experience as well as experienced players.

Our members come from all different backgrounds and we have players that have played from a young age in their home country, players that found the sport at uni or have just come along to check us out.

Handball is great for fitness and we have a great time on the court. After each training session, those that can make it go to the social club upstairs for a hot or cold drink.

Come along and try us out!
